Hello, friend!

I’m ALexis, an illustrator, designer and surface designer with a love of all things colorful. I find great joy bringing beauty and cheer to your home and everyday.

I have been a graphic designer and illustrator for 25 years, working with amazing brands like Toyota, Capitol Records, Lifeway, and Compassion International to craft impactful designs and illustrations through my other company, The Visual Republic. I’ve always have had a deep passion to focus more on illustrations and patterns, which is how Rosy Lark was formed.

Today I create custom illustrations and patterns for the gift, home and stationary markets. I also have a collection of art available for licensing. I know that right art elevates a product from good to ‘I can’t live without it.’ My passion is to make sure you always have the right art.

When I’m not creating, I love spending time outside on adventures with my husband, son, and best dog, Finn.

What do I do?

I partner with brands to bring hand-drawn illustrations and surface patterns to life on beautiful home and lifestyle products. My work is rooted in color, charm, and a sense of whimsy that feels joyful and intentional. You can also find my artwork available in my online shop and on Spoonflower for fabric and wallpaper, and I love supporting fellow creatives by sharing what I’ve learned through online classes.

WHAT INSPIRES ME?

My inspiration comes from a life shaped by travel, nature, and play. Growing up overseas and visiting more than 30 countries has influenced my vibrant color palette, while time spent outdoors fuels my love of illustrating flora and fauna. Becoming a mom to my son has also added a joyful sense of playfulness and curiosity that’s woven throughout my work.
